Nearly twenty-five thousand residences in Queensland's southeast found themselves without power on Monday morning after intense storm systems impacted the region, producing strong winds reaching over 100 km/h.

Substantial Ice Stones and Broad Destruction

Locals observed giant hailstones as large as 7 centimeters in certain regions. Meteorological experts announced that multiple regions across the state had been affected by large hailstones.

Tuesday was expected to become the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent severe weather risk anticipated across multiple regions of both regions.

Public health experts cautioned that there was an greater possibility of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the northern rural areas, especially given the current weather patterns.
